My name is Abby and I started Abilene (formerly known as Havenside Bath + Body) back in 2018 when my family made a commitment to transition to a natural, sustainable lifestyle to reduce waste. Fun fact: did you now there is a drastic difference in the quality of the ingredients used in natural products versus the harsh chemicals and toxins typically found in commercial bath products??? Don't believe me, go check the labels in the products in your bathroom.

I became passionate in learning about the industry and suddenly a new hobby was born! I read books, took classes with professionals + watched millions of hours of videos to understand the science and benefits behind each ingredients. This hobby eventually turned into a business as my drive to share my knowledge grew more and more. I hope you enjoy using these products as much as I enjoyed making them! 

Currently, I live in Austin, Texas with my husband and our 6-year old Sulcata tortoise Pancho. When I am busy with Abilene, you can find me in the kitchen, exploring the outdoors, at a music event or in Dallas visiting my big Mexican family.
